Total Viewers:
CBS: 6.25 million, ABC: 2.87, NBC: 2.84, Fox: 2.27, CW: 611,000

Adults 18-49:
ABC: 0.6 rating/5 share, CBS: 0.5/ 4, NBC and Fox: 0.4/ 3 each, CW: 0.1/ 1

In series premiere news, quirky NBC dramedy “The Thing About Pam”, starring two-time Oscar winner Renée Zellweger, opened with a modest 2.78 million viewers (#2) and a 0.4 rating/3 share in adults 18-49 in the Tuesday 10 p.m. ET hour. This trailed competing “FBI: Most Wanted” on CBS (#1, 5.78 million; A18-49: #1, 0.5/ 5), and it dropped from lead-in “This Is Us” (Viewers: #2, 4.10 million; A18-49: #2, 0.6/ 5 at 9 p.m. at 9 p.m.) by 1.32 million viewers and 33 percent in the demo. The bottom line: Given the ample promotion, the key observation about “The Thing About Pam” is lackluster. And keep in mind that most new series drop 10 to 20 percent in week two.

Earlier in the evening on NBC were the season (or, more likely, series) finales of sitcoms “American Auto” (Viewers: #4, 1.91 million; A18-49: #4, 0.3/ 2 at 8 p.m.) and “Grand Crew” (Viewers: #4, 1.37 million; #4, 0.3/ 2 at 8:30 p.m.).

CBS, meanwhile, had typically solid fast affiliate results for dramas “FBI” (Viewers: #1 for the night: 7.54 million; A18-49: #2, 0.6/ 5 at 8 p.m.) and “FBI: International” (Viewers: #1, 5.79 million; A18-49: #3, 0.5/ 4 at 9 p.m.).

Elsewhere, ABC featured a Tuesday 8-10 p.m. ET edition of “The Bachelor” (Viewers: #2, 3.37 million; A18-49: #1 for the night: 0.7/ 6) into “To Tell the Truth” (Viewers: #3, 1.87; A18-49: #3, 0.3/ 3 at 10 p.m.). The season finale of “The Bachelor” airs next Tuesday. Fox aired medical drama “The Resident” (Viewers: #3, 3.08 million; A18-49: #3, 0.4/ 3 at 8 p.m.) into the season finale of “I Can See Your Voice” (Viewers: #4, 1.45 million; A18-49: #4, 0.3/ 2 at 9 p.m.). And perennial cellar-dweller The CW featured superhero dramas “Superman & Lois” (Viewers: 782,000; A18-49: 0.1/ 1 at 8 p.m.) and “Naomi” (Viewers: 440,000; A18-49: 0.1/ 0 at 9 p.m.).
