What follows are the fast affiliate rating results for Tuesday, October 8, 2019. These results are time period based and are subject to change:

CBS: 8.78 million, NBC: 6.99, ABC: 3.70, Fox: 3.24, CW: 1.37

Adults 18-49:
NBC: 1.3 rating/6 share, CBS: 0.9/ 4, Fox: 0.8/ 4, ABC: 0.7/ 3, CW: 0.5/ 2

Key Observations:
-“The Conners” remains ABC’s highest rated sitcom.

-ABC’s “Black-ish” featured a reunion of the cast from former UPN sitcom “Girlfriends.”

-“NCIS” on CBS and NBC’s “The Voice” continue to share dominance in the Tuesday 8 p.m. hour.

-The season premiere of “The Flash” on The CW did not disappoint (nor did an encore of the pilot episode of “Batwoman” immediately following).

-Dick Wolf’s “FBI” has years of shelf life ahead on CBS.

-NBC’s “This Is Us” has rebounded from the stranger-populated season opening episode two weeks ago. The ratings remain rock solid.

-Fox was wise to end “Empire” this season.

-Fox medical drama “The Resident” pales in comparison to “9-1-1” in the Monday 8 p.m. lead-off spot.

-ABC’s freshman “Emergence” remains a distant third at 10 p.m. behind “NCIS: New Orleans” on CBS and NBC’s sophomore “New Amsterdam.”
