TV One’s ‘NewsOne Now’ Announces Year-End Extended Broadcast

Telecast to Air For Two Hours Each Morning Next Week

TV One’s “NewsOne Now” is extending its broadcast an additional hour during this week. Hosted by veteran journalist and managing editor Roland S. Martin, “NewsOne Now’s” special year-end extended broadcast, from 7-9 a.m. ET, will offer viewers more in-depth coverage and reflect on 2016’s top stories in news, politics, entertainment, and sports. The show will also pay tribute and honor prominent African Americans we lost this year with a memorial vignette.

In addition, NewsOne Now will introduce “Wisdom from Next Generation Voices,” a new, daily series on how African Americans need to move forward under a Trump presidency. The segment will feature panelists Brittany Packnett, vice president of national community alliances for Teach for America and co-founder of Campaign Zero; Tamika D. Mallory, a civil rights leader and anti-violence advocate; Carmen Perez, executive director and co-founder for The Gathering for Justice; and Rep. Alicia Reece (D-OH, 33rd District).
