    “CHICAGO FIRE” TIES FOR #1 IN 18-49 FOR THE 10 P.M. HOUR

    Thursday Primetime Ratings:

    The Season 2 finale of “The Good Place” (1.1/4 in 18-49, 3.2 million viewers overall from 8:30-9 p.m. ET):

    · Matches the show’s top 18-49 rating since Oct. 12 (1.2).

    · Maintains 100% week to week in 18-49 (1.1 vs. 1.1), despite the return this week of timeslot competition from “Young Sheldon.”

    · Grows week to week in women 18-49 and adults and men 18-34.

    · Equals the show’s year-ago season finale in 18-49 (1.1 vs. 1.1 from 8-9 p.m. on Jan. 19, 2017).

    · Will increase substantially with time-shifting and VOD – “The Good Place” is growing by +72% in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+7 so far this season (from a 1.14 to a 1.96) and +1.9 million viewers overall (4.0 million to 5.9 million). With the addition of projected 35-day non-linear ratings, the “Good Place” figure increases to a 3.42.

    · Upscale: “The Good Place” is generating a strong upscale audience, indexing at a 138 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes (with 100 representing an average concentration of those homes).

    “Superstore” (1.1/4 in 18-49, 3.5 million viewers overall from 8-8:30 p.m. ET):

    · Finishes within 0.1 of last week in 18-49 (1.1 vs. 1.2, which equaled the show’s high since premiere week), despite the return of time-period competition this week from “The Big Bang Theory.”

    · Maintains 100% week to week in men 18-49 and adults, men and women 18-34.

    · Will add significant viewership via time-shifting and VOD – last week’s “Superstore” increased by +43% in 18-49 (1.16 to 1.66) and more than 1.0 million viewers overall (4.2 million to 5.3 million) going from L+SD to L+3 Nielsens.

    · Upscale: “Superstore” is delivering a strong upscale audience, indexing at a 118 among adults 18-49 in $100K+ homes.

    “Will & Grace” (1.2/4 in 18-49, 4.1 million viewers overall from 9-9:31 p.m. ET):

    · Retains 100% versus its prior original of two weeks ago in adults, men and women 18-34, despite last week’s encore telecast.

    · Builds on its lead-in by +9% in 18-49 and +28% in total viewers.

    · Will increase dramatically via time-shifting and VOD — “Will & Grace” has grown by +85% in 18-49 rating this season going from L+SD to L+7 (1.74 to a 3.22) and more than +3.8 million viewers overall (6.3 million to 10.1 million). With the addition of projected 35-day non-linear ratings, the “Will & Grace” 18-49 average increases to a 5.23.

    · Upscale: “Will & Grace” is delivering a strong upscale audience, indexing at a 137 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes

    A preview telecast of “A.P. Bio” (0.9/3 in 18-49, 3.2 million viewers overall from 9:31-10 p.m. ET):

    · Generated strong sampling, scoring NBC’s highest 18-49 and total-viewer results in the timeslot since Dec. 21 (1.2 in 18-49, 4.045 million).

    · Is up versus NBC’s season average in the time period in 18-49 (0.9 vs. 0.8) and total viewers (3.178 million vs. 3.112 million).

    “Chicago Fire” (1.0/4 in 18-49, 5.6 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET):

    · Ties for #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in the timeslot in adults 18-49.

    · Finishes within 0.1 of last week’s rating in 18-49 (1.0 vs. 1.1) and maintains 100% in all key adult-female demos, despite the return this week of original drama competition on CBS.

    · Is up +11% versus NBC’s non-sports average in the timeslot last season in 18-49 (1.0 vs. 0.9, L+SD) and is up +16% in total viewers (5.611 million vs. 4.824 million).

    · Will increase substantially via time-shifting and VOD — “Chicago Fire” is growing by +93% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.12 to a 2.16) and more than +4.0 million viewers overall (6.1 million to 10.2 million) going from L+SD to L+7. With the addition of projected 35-day non-linear ratings, the “Fire” figure increases to a 2.94 in 18-49.

    In Late-Night Metered Markets Thursday Night:

    · In Nielsen’s 56 metered markets, household results were: “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” 2.0/5; “Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” 2.8/8; and ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” 1.9/5.

    · In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” 0.7/4; “Late Show,” 0.5/3; and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” 0.6/4.

    · From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC’s “Nightline” averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

    · From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” 1.3/5 in metered-market households; CBS’s “Late Late Show,” 1.2/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: “Late Night,” 0.4/3 in 18-49; “Late Late Show,” 0.3/2.

    · At 1:35 a.m., “Last Call with Carson Daly” averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
