  1. I’d still put “This is Us” Wed at 8PM in the Fall. I don’t consider that ballsy. Would most prefer to just leave it there to be with the Voice forever? I figure why not find /another/ family drama that has a female skew to air there? NBC can put one of the Chicago shows or something not so niche and “high profile” after the Voice on Monday.

ABC and FOX are such a hot mess. I don’t even know what to say for them on this night.

    • I see zero benefit in This is Us moving to Wednesday at 8. If anything it should lead into a new drama on Tuesdays. I think NBC should go with an hour of comedy into two Chicago shows on Wednesday and air the other two Chicago shows into SVU on Thursdays. Slide another new drama in after the Voice on Mondays and use the Blacklist on Fridays after Dateline. If they want to expand comedy, they could attempt another hour on Sundays after Little Big Shots. Another idea would be an hour of comedy on Fridays.

      • I assume this would mean condensing the Voice to Monday only? I don’t think NBC is ready to do that. Why do you see no benefit on Wednesday? Een if the show drops /some/ on Wednesday at 8PM, it would beat the competition in viewers and the demo. I call that a win win. NBC has had a hard time with shows in that time slot for over a decade.

No beef with Blacklist on Friday. I have said for a while SVU would be a good fit for Thursday at 10PM. I wouldn’t be shocked if they put Blindspot on Friday either.

        • NBC wouldn’t need to drop the Voice at all. Keep the Tuesday 8-10pm lineup in place. It’s dominating in the demo. Let’s it keep doing its job. Air a new drama Tuesday at 10 out of This is Us and a new drama on Monday at 10. I would put the comedy hour on Wednesday at 8 into the Chicago shows because Wednesday at 8 is easier than against BBT and Greys on Thursdays and even if they flop, the Chicago pairing from 9-11 have proven they don’t need a lead in before.

I think Blindspot is a goner unless Chicago Justice tanks in the coming weeks and even then it’s a stretch. It would fall even farther on Fridays.

  2. Laughably bad numbers for People Icons.

Generally FOX and ABC are now at CW levels. Brace for “those numbers are good for FX/ABC” comments in the future.

All those awful numbers make just-OK This IS Us look like the major hit it’s not.
