Lifetime’s subscription Video on Demand service, Lifetime Movie Club, will stream its first-ever original movie, “Dead In the Water.” The logline: “Dead in the Water” follows aspiring photography vlogger Tara (Catherine Lidstone, Proven Innocent). When she gets dumped by her longtime boyfriend Derek (Sam Krumrine, La La Land, Lucifer), her best friend Amy (Angela Gulner, Dan is Dead) takes her on a weekend getaway to her family’s vacation lake house, where a mysterious and effortlessly attractive man named Lucas (Peter Porte, Baby Daddy, Devious Maids, The Young and the Restless) crosses paths with them. They decide he is the perfect way to spice up their trip, but his presence causes emotions to run high and suddenly the girls are forced to face the demons between themselves… or is something more devious going on?
“Dead in the Water” is produced by Lunar Field Productions and will begin streaming on Lifetime Movie CHannel on Friday, January 15. It is written and directed by Nanea Miyata and produced by Miyata and Ryan Moon.
