Canadian music star The Weeknd performed at halftime of Super Bowl LV on Feb. 7, 2021 inside Tampa Bay’s Raymond James Stadium.
He performed many of his hits including “Can’t Feel My Face”, “Earned It”, “Feel It Coming,”, “Save Your Tears” and “Blinding Lights”.
Just prior to the start of the game, R&B singer H.E.R. performed “America the Beautiful” followed by the duet of soul artist Jazmine Sullivan and country singer Eric Church giving their rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
National Youth Poet Laureate Amanda Gorman, the breakout star of Joe Biden’s inauguration, recited the first-ever original poem at the Super Bowl which was entitled “Chorus of the Captains.”
In the hours prior to kickoff, Miley Cyrus performed at an outdoor concert for thousands of vaccinated essential workers. Guest appearing Witt Cyrus were 80’s rockers Billy Idol and Joan Jett.
