Wednesday Final Nationals: ‘American Horror Story’ on FX Concludes Season Atop Cable Prime Time, Up from Previous Year

Fox won Wednesday night overall. “Empire” rose a bit from its series-low figures of last week (Nov. 9).

The sixth season finale of FX anthology “American Horror Story” ranked No. 1 on cable for the day among adults 18-49 (1.33 rating), adults 18-34 (1.37) and adults 25-54 (1.22). At 2.45 million live-plus-same day viewers, it represented an increase of 9 percent from the show’s fifth season finale from Jan. 13, 2016 (2.245 million) and a rise of 18 percent among adults 18-49 (1.712 million vs. 1.453 million).

However, the telecast had only outdrawn two of the prior five original season finale telecasts of the series, according to Nielsen live-plus-same day data.
