“America’s Got Talent” led NBC to Wednesday overnight victory, topping the evening at a considerable 7.7 rating/13 share in households from 8-9 p.m. Comparably, that bested competing “Big Brother” on CBS (#2: 4.1/ 7) and the first of two episodes of “MasterChef” on Fox (2.7/ 5) by 88 percent and 185 percent, respectively. Note to “Big Brother” fans: tonight is a double eviction episode!

Airing out of “America’s Got Talent” were two more episodes of NBC sitcom “Marlon” (9 p.m. #1: 3.3/ 5; 9:30 p.m.: #2: 2.5/ 4), which from a household retention standpoint is not all that solid. The second installment of Fox’s “MasterChef” tied the “Marlon” double-pop, with a 2.8/ 5 in the 9 p.m. hour. And not able to compete was CBS summer drama “Salvation” at a distant third-place 2.2/ 3.

In season-finale news was NBC’s “Hollywood Game Night” at a modest, but still dominant, 2.1/ 3 at 10 p.m. The rest of the programs last night were all repeats.
