The one-hour live edition of “America’s Got Talent,” which concludes for the season next Thursday, lifted NBC to Wednesday overnight victory with a 7.3 rating/13 share in the household overnights from 8-9 p.m. ET. Competing “Big Brother” on CBS, which concludes its season next Wednesday, was consistent at a 4.0/ 7 in the 8 p.m. hour, which bested the first of two episodes of “MasterChef” on Fox (2.7/ 5) by 48 percent.

In season (or series) finale news was “Marlon” on NBC at a typical 2.5/ 4 in the 9:30 p.m. half-hour (#2). The 9 p.m. version scored a 3.1/ 5. Opposite “Marlon” was the second installment of Fox’s “MasterChef” at an improved 3.1/ 5, followed by dud CBS drama “Salvation” at a 2.1/ 4.

ABC featured a Wednesday 10 p.m. edition of “20/20,” which won the hour at a 2.3/ 4 in the household overnights. Also original, and opposite it, was a midweek edition of NBC drama “Midnight, Texas” at a third-place 1.6/ 3. Everything else for the evening was in repaats.
