Ratings Breakdown:
It was a clean household overnight sweep for NBC with its solid combination of “Chicago Med” (#1 for the night: 5.4 rating/10 share), “Chicago Fire” (5.3/ 9) and “Chicago PD” (4.7/ 9). Comparably, Chicago PD” bested competing “Criminal Minds” on CBS (#2: 3.1/ 6) and recent entry “A Million Little Things” on ABC (#3: 2.5/ 5) by 52 percent and 88 percent, respectively. Chances are this is the final season of “Criminal Minds.”

Earlier in the evening on CBS was veteran “Survivor,” which on this Halloween evening was slightly below average at a second place 4.5/ 8 in the 8 p.m. ET hour. And that led into sophomore lead-out “SEAL Team,” continues to lag at a 3.5/ 6 (#3) at 9 p.m.

ABC, meanwhile, was on par with typical Wednesday night 8-10 p.m. sitcom levels care of “The Goldbergs” (#4: 3.3/ 6), “American Housewife” (#4: 3.0/ 5), “Modern Family” (#2: 3.8/ 6) and freshman “Single Parents” (#4: 2.5/ 4), which received a full season episode order despite the lack of audience interest. Fox was below average with its pairing of dramas “Empire” (#3: 3.5/ 6), which remains a shell of its former self, and “Star” (#4: 2.8/ 5). And The CW featured encore telecasts of recent entries “Charmed” (#5: 0.6/ 1) and “Legacies” (#5: 0.4/ 1). The network ducked from the smaller HUT levels on Halloween, no doubt.
