Ratings Breakdown:
It was a clean Wednesday household overnight sweep for NBC care of the one-hour live “America’s Got Talent” results show (#1 for the night: 6.8 rating/12 share at 8 p.m.) and the two-hour season finale of “World of Dance” (4.0/ 7 from 9-11 p.m.). Both shows, no doubt, are returning next summer.

Comparably, “America’s Got Talent” outdelivered competing “Big Brother” on CBS (#2: 3.9/ 7) by 74 percent. To anyone who thinks “Big Brother” might end if Julie Chen exits, trust me when I say that will not happen.

Also original last night was Fox’s veteran “MasterChef” (#2: 2.7/ 5 from 8-10 p.m.), freshman The CW drama “Burden of Truth” (#4: 0.7/ 1 at 8 p.m.), and a Tuesday 10 p.m. edition of “Castaways” (#3: 1.2/ 2).
