Wednesday Overnights: NBC’s ‘AGT’ Tops Night; Fox’s ‘BH90210’ Loses More Steam

Ratings Breakdown:
NBC led the midweek overnight troops thanks to the live one-hour “America’s Got Talent” results show. “AGT” topped the night with ease at a 5.8 rating/11 share in the household overnights, which was 81 percent above competing “Big Brother” on CBS (#2: 3.2/ 6). With ample lead-in support, “Songland,” now in the Wednesday 9 p.m. ET hour on NBC, won the hour with a 2.5/ 5. But that was 57 percent below the 8:30 p.m. portion of “AGT” (5.8/10) and may not be worthy of a second season.

On Fox, “BH90210” continues to deteriorate, last night with a 1.8/ 3 in households at 9 p.m. Comparably, this was 10 percent below the 2.0/ 3 one week earlier and 36 percent below lead-in “Masterchef” (#3: 2.8/ 5 at 8 p.m.). Chances of a second season for the former gang from West Beverly High seem unlikely.

Elsewhere, recent returnee “Hollywood Game Night” on NBC (#3: 1.6/ 3 at 10 p.m.) remains nothing more than time period filler. “Hypnotize Me” on The CW scored a 0.4/ 1 (#5) at 9 p.m., which was one-tenth of a rating point below lead-in crime drama “Bulletproof” (#5: 0.5/ 1 at 8 p.m.).
