Wednesday, February 6, 2019

Household Rating/Share
NBC: 5.6/10, Fox: 3.8/ 6, CBS: 3.7/ 6, ABC: 1.9/ 3, CW: 0.7/ 1

Percent Change From the Year-Ago Evening:
NBC: +24, Fox: + 6, ABC: no change, CBS: – 3, CW: -12

Ratings Breakdown:
It was a clean household overnight sweep for NBC care of its flawless combination of “Chicago Med” (#1 for the night: 6.2 rating/11 share – season high), “Chicago Fire” (5.8/10 – season high) and “Chicago PD” (5.0/10). The pairing of “Chicago Med” and “Chicago Fire” bested the two-hour time period premiere of CBS competition “The World’s Best” (3.8/ 7 from 8-10 p.m.) by a hefty 58 percent. One year earlier, a 9-10 p.m. edition of “The Amazing Race” on CBS scored a 3.4/ 6. In other words, the post “Super Bowl” slot for the debut of “The World’s Best” this past Sunday did not matter all that much.

In season finale news was CBS’ veteran “Criminal Minds” at a 3.6/ 7 (#2) in households, which trailed aforementioned “Chicago PD” on NBC by 28 percent. “Criminal Minds” will conclude with an abbreviated season in 2019-20.

On Fox, “The Masked Singer” remained solid with a 4.9/ 9 (#2) in the 9 p.m. hour, which increased from lead-in “Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours To Hell and Back” (#3: 2.8/ 5 at 8 p.m.) by 75 percent.

Elsewhere, The CW had nothing unusual to report with its pairing of dramas “Riverdale” (#5: 0.9/ 2 at 8 p.m.) and a Wednesday 9 p.m. ET edition of “Dynasty” (#5: 0.6/ 1). And ABC was in all repeats.
