Ratings Breakdown:
NBC, once again, stood above the Wednesday competition in the household overnights with its combination of “Chicago Med” (#1 for the night: 6.0 rating/10 share at 8 p.m.), “Chicago Med” (#1: 5.6/ 9 at 9 p.m.) and “Chicago PD” (#1: 5.8/11). Last night featured a crossover event between “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago PD.”

In season-premiere news, CBS’ veteran “Survivor,” themed “Edge of Extinction,” opened with a solid 4.6/ 8 in households. Comparably, this was right on par with any “Survivor” season-opener. But lead-out “The World’s Best,” a two-hour installment, dipped to a 2.4/ 4 from 9-11 p.m. The moral of that story: “America’s Got Talent” on NBC more than suffices at present.

Elsewhere, breakout “The Masked Singer” on Fox, which concludes next Wednesday, was solid at a 5.5/10 in the 9 p.m. hour. Comparably, that increased by a hefty112 percent from lead-in “Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back” (#4: 2.6/ 4 at 8 p.m.) and it is poised for dominance for the night in adults 18-49.

On ABC, “The Match Game” concluded for the season at a mere 1.6/ 3 (#3) in households at 10 p.m., which was 20 percent below lead-in “Splitting Up Together” (#4: 2.0/ 3 at 9:30 p.m.).
