Ratings Breakdown:
ABC took center stage last night care of 90-minute special, “Live in Front of a Studio Audience: Norman Lear’s ‘All in the Family’ and ‘The Jeffersons,” which scored a dominant 7.5 rating/13 share in the household overnights from 8-9:30 p.m. ET. That led into half-hour special, “All About All in the Family” and “The Jeffersons,” at a 5.9/10 at 9:30 p.m. Comparably, this was more than double the overnight rating of the alphabet net’s Wednesday sitcom block this season.

Despite the lead-in support, ABC’s “Whiskey Cavalier” concluded its one season run at a third-place 2.8/ 5 in households at 10 p.m.

In season finale news was the NBC “Chicago” trio – “Med” (#2: 5.3/10 at 8 p.m.), “Fire” (#2: 5.1/ 9 at 9 p.m.) and “PD” (#1: 4.5/ 9 at 10 p.m.), which did not lose steam despite facing the live ABC special.

In season premiere news was CW docuseries “My Last Days” (#5: 0.3/ 1 at 8 p.m.) and “Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back” on Fox (#4: 1.4/ 2 at 9 p.m.).
