Fast Affiliate Ratings

Total Viewers:
Fox: 8.69 million, NBC: 6.23, CBS: 3.69, ABC: 2.41, CW: 468,000

Adults 18-49:
Fox: 1.8 rating/13 share, NBC: 0.7/ 5, CBS: 0.5/ 4, CBS: 0.5/ 4, ABC: 0.4/ 3

Game 2 of The World Series on Fox (Houston 7, Atlanta 2) dropped to an estimated 8.69 million viewers and a 1.8 rating/13 share in adults 18-49 in primetime. Of course, results for any live event (particularly sports) are only estimated. And, yes, this mirrors the ongoing erosion across linear television. Remember when a sporting event like that would be must see?

Second place NBC was the definition of compatibility, with each of the three series in the “Chicago” franchise at a 0.7 rating/5 share in adults 18-49. “Chicago Fire” was the most-watched of the trio, with 6.61 million at 8 p.m., followed by “Chicago Med” (Viewers: 6.57 million at 8 p.m.) and “Chicago PD” (Viewers: 5.51 million at 10 p.m.).

On CBS, “Survivor” was on the fast affiliate map with 5.00 million viewers (#3) and a 0.8/ 6 in adults 18-49 at 8 p.m. opposite baseball on Fox. But competition series lead-out “Tough As Nails” dropped to 2.81 million viewers (#3) and a 0.4/ 3 in the demo (#3t) at 9 p.m. And that did not benefit the failing reboot of “CSI: Vegas” at 10 p.m. (Viewers: #3, 3.27 million; A18-49: #3t, 0.3/ 3).

Elsewhere, ABC remains out of the competitive loop on Wednesday as follows:

ABC/Wednesday
8:00 p.m. “The Goldbergs”
Viewers: 3.10 million (#4), A18-49: 0.5/ 4 (#4)

8:30 p.m. “The Wonder Years”
Viewers: 2.49 million (#4), A18-49: 0.4/ 3 (#4)

9:00 p.m. “The Conners”
Viewers: 3.20 million (#3), A18-49: 0.5/ 3 (#3)

9:30 p.m. “Home Economics”
Viewers: 1.93 million (#4), A18-49: 0.3/ 2 (#4)

10:00 p.m. “A Million Little Things”
Viewers: 1.88 million (#4), A18-49: 0.3/ 2 (#3)

And The CW capped off the evening with dramas “D.C.’s Legends of Tomorrow” (Viewers: 537,000; A18-49: 0.1/ 1 at 8 p.m.) and “Batwoman” (Viewers: 399,000; A18-49: 0.1/ 0 at 9 p.m.), which – of course — was buried in the distant No. 5 spot. My personal prediction is that the upcoming “The Waltons” reboot movie, “The Waltons’ Homecoming”, will be the event that will break out on The CW. Mark your calendars for Sunday, November 28.
