Meet the New Races: Goblins and Worgen
Excited to play for a new race in WoW Cataclysm Classic? Goblins bring a mix of explosive antics and business savvy for Horde players, while the eerie Worgens allow Alliance players to tap into their beastly side. Each comes with distinct starting zones, quests, and racial abilities that make the Cataclysm Classic expansion unforgettable. Here’s a closer look at these two exciting new races:
- Goblin Starting Zone — Isle of Kezan: Packed with industrial mayhem and volcanic threats.
- Worgen Starting Zone — Gilneas: Dripping with Gothic atmosphere and besieged by the Forsaken.
Goblin Racial Abilities:
- Best Deals Anywhere: Always get the top discount regardless of faction.
- Pack Hobgoblin: Summon a personal servant for bank access for 1 minute (30 min cooldown).
- Better Living Through Chemistry: Enhance your Alchemy skill by +15.
- Rocket Barrage: Fire rockets from your belt, dealing fire damage (2 min cooldown).
- Rocket Jump: Use your rocket belt to jump forward (2 min cooldown).
- Time is Money: +1% casting and attack speed.
Worgen Racial Abilities:
- Viciousness: +1% critical damage.
- Darkflight: +70% run speed for 10 seconds (3 min cooldown).
- Aberration: Reduces the duration of curses and diseases by 15%.
- Flayer: +15 Skinning skill, skin enemies faster without a knife.
- Two Forms: Switch between Human and Worgen forms outside of combat.
Goblins are very good for PvE content and specs whose damage depends on speed, such as Shadow Priest, and Unholy Dragon Knight. In turn, Worgens are the best race for Warriors, Feral Druids, Fire Mages, and Hunters.
Learning Flight in Cataclysm Classic
Players can buy the Flight Master’s License for 250 gold when they hit level 60 and have Expert riding skill. This lets them fly in the Cataclysm Classic zones — Kalimdor, Eastern Kingdoms, and Deepholm. You can buy a Flight Master’s License from a Flight Trainer in each caption’s capital city (Maztha in Orgrimmar and Bralla Cloudwing in Stormwind). For every level of reputation you have with your main Alliance or Horde group, you’ll get a 5% discount, and when you hit Exalted status, you’ll get a 20% discount.
Remember that this only works for Cataclysm Classic zones. You only need to unlock the Flying skill to be able to fly in Outland. But you still need to unlock the Cold Weather Flying skill before you can reach Northrend. As long as you are level 68, have Expert riding skill, and 500 gold to pay the trainer, you can easily unlock Cataclysm Classic by training with any of the three flying teachers in Northrend. This was not possible in Wrath Classic. As a Draenei, you can’t fly in Azuremyst Isle or Bloodmyst Isle, and as a Blood Elf, you can’t fly in Eversong Woods or Ghostlands. These are the starting and secondary zones from BC Classic.
What Should You Do When You Reach Level 85 in Cataclysm Classic?
When you reach the max level, it’s time to get ready for those big PVE fights. Start by going into Heroic dungeons like Grim Batol and the Lost City of the Tol’vir to get good gear at the 346-item level. Are you ready for raids? Bastion of Twilight, Blackwing Descent, and Throne of the Four Winds — all have high-level gear and items ready for you to find. This is where you’ll get stuff that will make you feel like a god, whether you join a raid group or go looking for one in the Looking for Raid system.
How Do I Farm Honor in World of Warcraft: Cataclysm?
If you prefer PvP content and want to get Honor fast in WoW Cataclysm Classic, Battlegrounds is the best place to go. To get to a random battleground, press “H.” To gain honor, take over towers, capture flags, and eliminate members of the other side.
Look for more cunning ways, then nothing compares to ganking random PvE characters who are busy farming ore and herbs, fishing, etc. They are dressed in PvE gear and have no resistance, so farming honor on them is a real pleasure. Popular areas to explore are Tol Barad, Twilight Highlands, and Hyjal. But be careful, there are guards in Hyjal who will attack those who strike the hostile faction.
Conclusion
WoW Cataclysm Classic introduces a universe full of adventures, blending reimagined landscapes, novel races, and thrilling encounters. Whether crossing the volatile industrial hub of Kezan as a Goblin or unraveling the enigmatic lore of Gilneas as a Worgen, each path offers something interesting and unique. With flight mastery and strategic PvP maneuvers, Cataclysm Classic promises an unforgettable odyssey through the ever-evolving world of Azeroth.
