ABC’s Tuesday 10 PM time slot is cursed. Kevin will be lucky to air all 13 of its episodes.

And soon to be name change: “Kevin is Probably going to be Canceled”

There’s no such thing as a cursed time slot, just bad and/or unappealing shows…

  • Hello Larry

Even without Chicago Fire, ABC still can’t get anything to resonate at 10pm on Tuesdays but I surprisingly liked Kevin (Probably) Saves the World it reminded me of Joan of Arcadia. I liked it way better than that overrated trash The Good Doctor that aired the night before. Kevin is a goner though but I don’t regret sampling it. The bigger concern for ABC is actually The Mayor which started out DOA out of the gate and it was heavily promoted all summer. Black-ish rates so small and is another overrated show. ABC Tuesday is exactly where Roseanne should probably go when it returns especially with The Middle leaving.

Man True Crime is a bomb I agree with Marc from the overnights that NBC wasted that spot this fall and it makes me angry because they could’ve easily used that slot to boost something worthwhile and Chicago Med should’ve started in the fall instead of midseason. Hopefully Med is already in production and it can premiere earlier than expected because True Crime needs to be pulled from that slot in November.

Thought True Crime was going to be a flop as I wasn’t into Menendez Brothers when they were found guilty of killing their parents in 89.

      • renamoretti1

I thought the same thing. Shows about killers just aren’t appealing to me.

Dem fighting words on The Good Doctor LOL I enjoy the show and it is the first show they got to even put up a rating at all since the early years of Castle.

I agree NBC is wasting the Tuesday at 10PM show. I believe they picked up something or another that would have been compatible with TIU but I believe they shelved it to mid season. Even as you said Chicago Med would have been better than nothing.

Black-ish is another one of those shows that internet boards are full of, but don’t have the equivalent ratings in the real world. Shows that internet boards aren’t an accurate representation of the country… 🙂 or that street teamers still get the job done… 😉

Why didn’t ABC use Dancing last week or even the week before to launch Kevin? Did they really think they could just self start in an hour they’ve had no viewers in for years?

As much as I love Fresh Off The Boat, it’s never been a ratings grabber and I don’t have high hopes for the Mayor.

    • Garebelman

It appears ABC’s Tuesday at 10PM woes continue. I’m still slightly bitter about Forever being canceled even now Lol

    • renamoretti1

In their minds, Black-ish is a huge hit, The Mayor was a sure thing and thus Kevin would get a great ;lead-in… Just guessing of course… 🙂

  • Garebelman

The Mayor was a fun and cute comedy. I’ll stick around as long as ABC keeps it around.

    • renamoretti1

The theme reminded me of the great Canadian comedy Dan for Mayor, except they copied the less-interesting 2nd season (after Dan becomes Mayor to everyone’s consternation) instead of the fun campaign…

This Is Us is back to a statistical tie with Bull, but the media will only talk about the former…

Kevin is DOA, Black-ish is also DOA, so is The Mayor and Fresh Off The Boat. It makes the very mediocre numbers of The Middle look good in comparison…

Lethal Weapon should have been canceled a long time ago, but we all knew that a long time ago (everyone did except Walden and Newman apparently!)
