Like many others, you’ve probably signed up for a Netflix account. Unfortunately, issues can arise when you watch TV online, browse the web, or use applications. Use your fingers or your mouse to find the best devices for watching your favorite shows on the go.
When trying to watch a movie on Netflix, we’ve all seen the dreaded buffering symbol but what happens when Netflix doesn’t work?
You don’t need to get worried if Netflix has frozen, restarted, or given you one of its many error codes. Don’t jump to error codes right away if you’re having trouble with Netflix.
Force-closing and restarting the Netflix program should be your first step. If it doesn’t work, try restarting your computer or streaming device.
If the problem persists, try rebooting or resetting your router as well. It may work. There are many Netflix error codes. We will look at 10 common Netflix error codes that you should know what they are for and learn how to resolve them.
1. Error Code 100 Netflix Error
It is a common error code to see if you’re an Apple user. The first step is to log out of Netflix and then log back in again to fix the problem. Remove the app from your device and reinstall it. Restart your Apple device to finish the process. Now everything should be working as it should.
2. Error Code NW-4-7
There are several possible interpretations for this particular code. The code can mean different things depending on whether you are streaming from a laptop or an external device.
The error code NW-4-7 is a little more difficult to understand because it depends on the device you’re using. Try to reconnect to the internet, and then restart your wireless router. If that doesn’t work, try restarting your device or the application.
Unless this works, there’s a problem with your home network, in which case your network provider must be contacted. Specific streaming devices for Netflix have their own set of troubleshooting steps available.
3. Error Code UI-113
This error code indicates that Netflix’s data needs to be updated or refreshed, as is the case with many others. You should be able to stream again after restarting the streaming app and your streaming device.
4. Error Code AIP-705
This code may appear on your screen if you do not have a strong internet connection. Try signing out and restarting your device after you’ve verified your router and internet connection are working properly.
5. Error Code 7034
The worst error of all is the unknown error. If this appears on your screen, restarting the app and your device may help. Alternatively, you can call Netflix directly at (866)-579-7172 if nothing works.
6. Error Code UI-120
If you see this code, it means that Netflix and the device from which you are streaming aren’t getting along. You’ll have to follow the usual steps, such as logging out of Netflix and restarting the device.
7. Error Code NW-2-5
This amusing error message indicates that your device is unable to connect to Netflix due to a problem with network connectivity.
8. Error Code UI-800-3
This code can only be used by Netflix subscribers who are using a third-party device to watch the streaming service. This code may appear if you have an Amazon Fire Stick or a Roku.
9. Error Codes 10025 or 30103
This error code can mean a variety of things, but most commonly it indicates that your Netflix app needs to be updated. If you get this code, your first step should be to make sure your app is up-to-date.
If the error code persists, try uninstalling and reinstalling the software.
10. Error Code 13018
In most cases, when you see the error code 13018 on your phone or tablet, it means that there is a connectivity issue preventing the device from reaching Netflix.
NETFLIX TROUBLESHOOTING
What if you’re having an issue with Netflix and you’re not seeing an error code or the error code wasn’t described above? Here are some simple steps you can take to see if they help. They should be able to fix the majority of Netflix issues.
1. Verifying network support:
Streaming isn’t possible with all network connections. As a result, it’s a good idea to double-check that your internet service provider supports streaming. You can do this by contacting your internet service provider (ISP) or by using a different streaming service.
2. Trying Netflix on a computer:
Visit Netflix.com on a laptop or desktop computer if you’re having problems with playback errors. You may have to wait for Netflix to fix an issue if you encounter the Netflix Site Error on Netflix.com.
3. Disabling VPN or Proxy:
Netflix is designed to prevent users from accessing the service using a proxy, VPN, or other unblockers. This helps to ensure that their services and programs aren’t used in regions where their content isn’t allowed. Use a VPN to protect your privacy or other interests while watching Netflix? If so, you’ll need to turn it off before you can watch the service.
4. Restarting your devices:
Restarting your streaming device, modem, and router should work. Often, a reboot is all that’s needed, so try turning everything off and then plugging everything back in and turning it back on.
