2022 Tony Awards: And the Winners Were…

Musical “Company” and play “The Lehman Trilogy” took home the most Tony wins at the “75th Annual Tony Awards”, with five each (including “Company” star Patti LuPone’s third Tony). Next was “MJ” with four, including Myles Frost for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical for his Broadway debut as the late King of Pop Michael Jackson. “Diana H”, “SIX”, “A Strange Loop” and “Take Me Out” won two each (including Jesse Tyler Ferguson for Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Play for “Take Me Out,” which also won Best Revival of a Play).

Four productions were awarded with one Tony each: “The Girl From North Country”, “Paradise Square”, “Skeleton Crew” and “The Skin of Our Teeth.”  The win for “Skeleton Crew” was for Phylicia Rashad for Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Play.
