New Fox Sitcom ‘The Mick’ to Premiere on January 1

Series Debuts in its Regularly Scheduled Tuesday 8:30 p.m. Time Period on January 3rd

Upcoming Fox sitcom “The Mick,” the tale of a brash, two-bit hustler from Rhode Island (Kaitlin Olson, “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) who must assume guardianship of her sister’s three high-maintenance children, will debut on Sunday, Jan. 1 at 8 p.m. ET following the NFL doubleheader. The logline: As irresponsible as Mickey has been her entire life, she may discover that responsibility isn’t the buzzkill she always thought it would be. The series also stars Sofia Black D’Elia (“The Night Of”), Thomas Barbusca (“Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life”), newcomer Jack Stanton, Carla Jimenez (“Last Man Standing”) and newcomer Scott MacArthur.

Following this preview, “The Mick” moves into its regularly scheduled Tuesday 8:30 p.m. time period on Jan. 3.

“The Mick” is produced by 20th Century Fox Television. The series was created/written by John Chernin (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) and David Chernin (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”). The Chernin brothers, Nick Frenkel (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) and Oly Obst (“Barely Famous”), along with Randall Einhorn (“Nurse Jackie,” “The Office”), who directed the pilot episode, are executive producers. Kaitlin Olson is a co-executive producer on the series.
