Fox Picks-Up Drama ‘The Resident’

'The Resident' Joins 'The Gifted' As the First Two New Scripted Dramas on Fox for 2017-18

Following news of “The Gifted” comes word of the second new scripted drama pick-up by Fox, “The Resident.” From 3 Arts Entertainment & Fuqua Films in association with Twentieth Century Fox Television, “The Resident” focuses on a tough, brilliant senior resident (Matt Czuchry) who guides an idealistic young doctor (“Catch Fire’s” Manish Dayal) through his first day, pulling back the curtain on what really happens, both good and bad, in modern-day medicine.

The cast also includes Bruce Greenwood, Emily VanCamp and Shaunette Wilson.
