‘Little Big Shots’ Leads NBC to Modest Wednesday Overnight Dominance

The season-finale of NBC’s “Little Big Shots” stood well above the competition, with a 4.7 rating/9 share in the household overnights at 8 p.m. But Steve Harvey won’t be gone for long. Next Wednesday at 8 p.m. is the series-premiere of spin-off “Little Big Shots: Forever Young.” Harvey was also visible last night in an encore telecast of ABC’s “Steve Harvey Funderdome” at a 1.7/ 3 (#2) at 10 p.m.

“Little Big Shots” led into a second-place 2.7/ 5 for sitcom “The Carmichael Show” in the 9 p.m. half-hour, which slipped by 45 percent from the 8:30 p.m. portion of “Little Big Shots” (4.9/ 9). Also on NBC were repeats of “Superstore” (#4: 1.6/ 3 at 9:30 p.m.) and “This Is Us” (#3: 1.5/ 5 at 10 p.m.).

The only other original programming last night was Fox’s combination of “MasterChef” (#2: 2.7/ 5) and “The F Word with Gordon Ramsay” (#4: 1.7/ 3) from 8-10 p.m. Comparably, “The F Word with Gordon Ramsay” dipped by an extensive 37 percent in the overnight households from “MasterChef.”

Elsewhere, CBS populated the evening with encores of “Undercover Boss” (#3: 2.3/ 4), “Criminal Minds” (#1: 2.9/ 5) and “Code Black” (#1: 2.6/ 5). ABC featured repeats of “The Goldbergs” (#4: 2.0/ 4), “Speechless” (#4: 1.6/ 3), “Modern Family” (#3: 2.1/ 4) and “American Housewife” (#2: 1.9/ 3), which is moving into the Wednesday 9:30 p.m. half-hour this fall. And The CW featured encores of “Arrow” (#5: 0.5/ 1) and “D.C.’s Legends of Tomorrow” (#5: 0.5/ 1). Fans of “Arrow” can find the drama this fall in the Thursday 9 p.m. hour out of “Supernatural” this fall.
