Tony Romo Correctly Predicted Many Plays During His NFL Announcing Debut on CBS

The Oakland Raiders at Tennessee Titans was one of the several games airing on various CBS affiliates during the early Sunday afternoon window on Sep. 10 for Week 1 of the 2017 NFL regular season. The telecast was most notable for featuring the debut of former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo as color analyst, alongside longtime play-by-play announcer Jim Nantz.

The game was not televised nationwide, but those who did watch it generally approved of Romo’s analysis and broadcasting style. His penchant for correctly predicting the plays in the moments before they each occurred caught the most public attention. In this mash-up clip, Romo was right eleven times. After one of his correct predictions, Nantz asked Romo what he had seen there, to which Romo proudly responded, “I’ve seen football in the NFL for 14 years.”

Nantz and Romo’s next game will be on Sep. 17 when the defending New England Patriots visit the New Orleans Saints.
