For the first time ever at a Winter Olympics, NBC will broadcast Olympic primetime competition live across all time zones. Whether daytime, primetime or “Primetime Plus” (formerly the late night show), all U.S. viewers will be able to watch NBC’s coverage of the XXIII Olympic Winter Games from PyeongChang, South Korea, at the same time.
NBCOlympics.com will offer live streaming of the NBC broadcast network, including primetime and Primetime Plus, and NBCSN will air live primetime coverage, both firsts at a Winter Games.
Highlights of Day 16 Events:
Olympic competition in PyeongChang concludes with the Cross-Country women’s 30km event. A Scandinavian sweep is possible, with top contenders including Charlotte Kalla of Sweden and the Norwegian duo of Marit Bjorgenand Heidi Weng. Bjorgen enters PyeongChang already tied as the most decorated female winter Olympian of all time with 10 medals.
The XXIII Olympic Winter Games officially conclude with the Closing Ceremony in PyeongChang. NBC Olympics’ figure skating commentating trio of Tara Lipinski, Johnny Weir, and Terry Gannon will host NBC’s primetime coverage of the Closing Ceremony for the XXIII Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, South Korea. Lipinski, Weir and Gannon will be on-site at PyeongChang Olympic Stadium to call the pageantry and spectacle of the Closing Ceremony, which will feature the Parade of Athletes, interviews, profiles, musical performances, and more.
