NBC’s “Days of Our Lives” took home five Daytime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series, at the ceremony hosted by Mario Lopez (“Extra”) and Sheryl Underwood (“The Talk”) at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, California on the night of Sunday, Apr. 29. Daytime dramas ABC’s “General Hospital” and CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” had won two Emmys apiece.
Wayne Brady won for Outstanding Game Show Host (“Let’s Make a Deal”), Steve Harvey won again for Outstanding Talk Show/Informative Host (“Steve”), and the women of syndicated talk show “The Real” were named Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Hosts, while “The Talk” (CBS) and “Dr. Oz,” (syndication), were cited for Outstanding Talk/Entertainment and Outstanding Talk/Informative.
“The Price Is Right” was named as Outstanding Game Show, ABC’s “Good Morning America” repeated as Outstanding Morning Program, and the syndicated “Judge Mathis” won for Outstanding Legal/Courtroom Program.
Longtime “Days of Our Lives” stars Bill Hayes and Susan Seaforth Hayes were this year’s Daytime Emmys Lifetime Achievement Awards honorees.
