Yankees and Nets Telecasts on YES Network Reach Multi-Year Highs

YES Network, the regional sports network of the New York Yankees and the Brooklyn Nets based in the New York market, has recently bucked the trend of viewer erosion from linear television and reached multi-year viewing highs for each of their teams’ broadcasts.

The Blue Jays-Yankees game from Apr. 1 averaged 543,000 Total Viewers on YES in the New York market, according to Nielsen, making it YES’ most-viewed weekday afternoon Season Opening telecast ever.

The game was also YES’ second most-viewed weekday afternoon telecast ever and YES’ most-viewed regular season telecast in almost three years.

In addition to 543,000 average Total Viewers tuning in to YES’ linear telecast of the Blue Jays-Yankees game, 72,739 unique viewers streamed the game live on the new YES App, making it the most-streamed YES game ever on either the YES App or its predecessor, FOX Sports GO

Thru Apr. 7, YES had its best Yankees opening week in nine years, averaging 391,000 Total Viewers for its first six Yankees telecasts of the 2021 season. YES averaged 416,000 Total Viewers for its first week of the 2012 season.

YES’ Nets games this season (thru Apr. 1) are averaging 82,000 Total Viewers, YES’ best Nets viewership since the 2013-14 season.
