Sunday Ratings: L.A. Rams Victory Over the Chicago Bears on ‘Sunday Night Football’ Leads NBC to An Easy Win

NBC, as expected, won this second Sunday in September thanks to football, which featured the L.A. Rams (34) versus the Chicago Bears (14). The match-up scored an estimated 13.88 million viewers (#1) and a 4.2 rating/27 share in adults 18-49 (#1) for the primetime portion (8:30-11 p.m. ET). Earlier on NBC was pre-game “Football Night in America” at an approximate 8.59 million viewers and a 2.4/16 in the demo from 7-8:30 p.m. Of course, this is a live sporting event like live soccer streams and these preliminary fast affiliate results (which are time period based) are always subject to change.

CBS got a boost courtesy of a primetime football overrun at 18.88 million viewers (#1) and a 4.5/29 (#1) in adults 18-49 in the 7 p.m. ET half hour. That means the results for the season premiere of “60 Minutes” (Viewers: #2, 9.68 million; A18-49: #2, 1.8/.12 from 7:30-8:30 p.m.) and “Big Brother” (Viewers: #2, 4.22 million; A18-49: #2, 0.9/ 6 from 8:30 p.m. ET) are only approximate. The remainder of the evening on the Eye net were repeats.

Elsewhere, ABC’s Sunday 8-11 p.m. game show block took a hit in adults 18-49 opposite football. Take a look:

Viewers: 4.11 million (#3), A18-49: 0.5/ 3 (#3)

9 p.m. “The Chase”
Viewers: 3.16 million (#2), A18-49: 0.3/ 2 (#3t)

Viewers: 2.61 million (#2), A18-49: 0.3/ 2 (#3t)
