‘Search Party’ on HBO Max Will End After Upcoming Fifth Season

Dark thriller comedy “Search Party”, which began on TBS in 2016, will end following the conclusion of its upcoming fifth season on its current home, HBO Max. The series follows a group of friends who become involved in the search for a missing young woman and the events that result from their involvement.

Set to open its now final season on Friday January 7, 2022, “Search Party” will follow Dory (Alia Shawkat) as she enters a very public business partnership with tech billionaire Tunnel Quinn (Jeff Goldblum) on the other side of her near death experience. Dory folds her old friends Portia (Meredith Hagner), Elliott (John Early) and Drew (John Reynolds) into the venture as they embark on an altruistic but terrifying journey.

A total of 50 episodes will comprise “Search Party’s” five search run.
