ABC Announces 15 Series Renewals

The Breakdown is Five Comedies, Six Dramas and Four Non-Scripted Series

ABC has issued pick-up orders to 15 current series, consisting of five comedies, six dramas and four non-scripted series. The sitcoms (in alphabetical order) are “blackish,” “Fresh off the Boat,” “The Goldbergs,” “The Middle” and “Modern Family.” The dramas are “Grey’s Anatomy,” “How to Get Away with Murder,” “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” “Once Upon a Time,” “Quantico” and “Scandal.” And the non-scripted returnees are “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” “The Bachelor,” “Dancing with the Stars” and “Shark Tank.” The network has not confirmed the number of episodes ordered for each series.

Current ABC series waiting in the wings for a potential pick-up – or cancellation – include sitcoms “Last Man Standing,” “Dr. Ken” and just launched “The Real O’Neals”, dramas “American Crime,” “Castle,” “Marvel’s Agent Carter” and “Nashville;” and musical parody “Galavant.”
