ABC Cancels Drama ‘The Baker and the Beauty;’ Renews’For Life’

Nine Episodes of 'The Baker and the Beauty' Were Produced

ABC has opted against a second season of freshman drama “The Baker and the Beauty.” Debuting in April, “The Baker and the Beauty” was a romantic comedy-drama based on the Israeili series “Beauty and the Baker.” It produced nine episodes.

The network, however, has renewed legal drama “For Life,” which debuted in February, which centers on Aaron Wallace (Nicholas Pinnock), who has been sentenced to life in prison for a crime he did not commit. While incarcerated, Wallace became a lawyer and worked as a defense attorney for others while striving to get his own sentence overturned. Thirteen episodes of “For Life” have been produced to-date.
