ABC Cancels Five Series; ‘black-ish’ to Return for One More Season

The Network to Announces Its Programming Plans for Next Season on Tuesday

ABC, which will announce its programming plans for next season on Tuesday, has canceled five of its current series. They are sitcoms “American Housewife”, sophomore “Mixed-ish” and freshman “Call Your Mother”, and dramas “For Life” and the recently introduced “Rebel” starring Katey Sagal. The news comes shortly after the alphabet net announced new seasons for comedies “The Goldbergs”, “The Conners” and newbie “Home Economics”; and dramas “A Million Little Things” and “The Rookie.”

The network also confirmed that “black-ish” has been renewed for an eighth – and final – season.
