‘The Good Doctor’ Scores Its Biggest Playback Lift This Season in Viewers
“The Good Doctor” (Feb. 22, 2021 @ 10:00-11:00 p.m. – 7.3 million and 1.1/8 in AD18-49):
ABC’s “The Good Doctor” won the Monday 10 p.m. hour for the 4th straight week in Adults 18-49 (1.1/8), dominating its nearest competition in the hour by 57% (CBS’ “Bull” = 0.7/5). In fact, “The Good Doctor” increased its winning advantage over “Bull” to 57% in Live+3 Day compared to a 20% lead in Live+Same Day.
Gaining an additional +3.37 million viewers after 3 days of TV playback, “The Good Doctor” scored its biggest playback lift this season in Total Viewers.

With its first all-original Wednesday lineup in 3 weeks, ABC ranked No. 1 on the night in both Total Viewers (3.8 million) and Adults 18-49 (0.7/5-tie) in the Live+3 Day numbers.
ABC’s “The Conners” stood as Wednesday’s No. 1 program in Adults 18-49 (1.0/6), while “The Goldbergs” (0.8/5) and “American Housewife” (0.8/5) tied for No. 2 on the night.
ABC claimed each of the Top 3 programs on Wednesday in Total Viewers with “The Conners” (5.3 million), “The Goldbergs” (4.4 million) and “American Housewife” (3.9 million), respectively.
ABC’s Entire Wednesday Comedy Block Grows
“The Goldbergs” grew over its last original telecast (on 2/10/21) by 10% in Total Viewers (4.4 million vs. 4.0 million) to draw its largest audience in 5 weeks – since 1/13/21.
“American Housewife” built by double digits over its most recent original (on 2/10/21) in Total Viewers (+15% – 3.9 million vs. 3.4 million) and Adults 18-49 (+14% – 0.8/5 vs. 0.7/4) to hit 5-week highs – since 1/13/21.
With its first original telecast in 3 weeks, “The Conners” improved over its last original broadcast (on 2/3/21) in Total Viewers (+2% – 5.3 million vs. 5.1 million) and Adults 18-49 (+11% – 1.0/6 vs. 0.9/6) to attract its biggest audience since mid-January – since 1/13/21.
“Call Your Mother” soared over its most recent original broadcast (on 2/10/21) in both Total Viewers (+23% – 3.7 million vs. 3.0 million) and Adults 18-49 (+20% – 0.6/4 vs. 0.5/3) to tie its strongest telecast since its series debut – since 1/13/21.
‘For Life’ Season Finale Marks Series’ Most-Watched Telecast of the Year
On its season finale, ABC’s “For Life” grew for the 3rd straight week in Total Viewers (+8% – 2.8 million vs. 2.6 million) to score its most-watched telecast of the year and built over the prior week by 20% with Adults 18-49 (0.6/4 vs. 0.5/4) to deliver a 4-week high – since 1/27/21.

In fact, “20/20” beat “Dateline” across the board during a sweep for the first time 2 years – since February 2019.

For the 4th consecutive week, “20/20” stood as the No. 1 newsmagazine on Fridays and beat NBC’s “Dateline” in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+56% – 3.9 million vs. 2.5 million), Adults 18-49 (+100% – 0.6/5 vs. 0.3/2) and Adults 25-54 (+100% – 1.0/5 vs. 0.5/3). “20/20” turned in its longest run of beating “Dateline” across the board in nearly 2 years – since 3/15 – 4/5/19.

“20/20” surged by double digits week to week (vs. 2/19/21) in Total Viewers (+22% – 3.9 million vs. 3.2 million), Adults 18-49 (+20% – 0.6/5 vs. 0.5/3) and Adults 25-54 (+43% – 1.0/5 vs. 0.7/4).
“20/20” posted year-to-year gains (vs. 2/28/20) in Total Viewers (+15% – 3.9 million vs. 3.4 million) and Adults 25-54 (+25% – 1.0/5 vs. 0.8/4).
Season to date, “20/20” is leading NBC’s “Dateline” in Total Viewers (+7% – 3.2 million vs. 3.0 million), Adults 18-49 (+25% – 0.5/3 vs. 0.4/3) and Adults 25-54 (+33% – 0.8/4 vs. 0.6/3). In addition, “20/20” is up in Total Viewers (+7% – 3.2 million vs. 3.0 million).
“20/20” won the night with the conclusion of its year-long investigation into Lori Vallow’s past, reporting on how she became the center of a horrific tragedy and a member of a doomsday group.
