ABC’s ‘Station 19’ and Fox’s ‘Last Man Standing’ and ‘The Cool Kids’ Get Full Season Orders

Next Up Will Likely Be the Announcement of the First New Series Cancellation of the Season

Sophomore Shondaland action drama “Station 19,” which was spun-off from “Grey’s Anatomy” last spring, has been renewed by ABC for the remainder of the season. The network has not said exactly how many additional episodes it has ordered past the initial 13 for season two.

“Station 19” stars Jaina Lee Ortiz as Andy Herrera, Jason George as Ben Warren, Boris Kodjoe as Captain Robert Sullivan, Grey Damon as Jack Gibson, Barrett Doss as Victoria Hughes, Alberto Frezza as Ryan Tanner, Jay Hayden as Travis Montgomery, Okieriete Onaodowan as Dean Miller, Danielle Savre as Maya Bishop and Miguel Sandoval as Pruitt Herrera.

On Fox, both “Last Man Standing,” formerly on ABC, and newbie “The Cool Kids” have a back-end episode order of nine additional episodes. “Last Man Standing,” starring Tim Allen, joined the network after a one season on air absence. And “The Cool Kids,” from executive producer Charlie Day (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”), is a multi-camera comedy about a rowdy, rag-tag group of friends living in a retirement community who are willing to break every rule in order to have fun – because, at their age, what do they really have to lose?  It stars David Alan Grier, Martin Mull, Vicki Lawrence and Leslie Jordan.
