Alex Trebek on Leave from ‘Jeopardy’ Due to ‘Medical Problem’

Alex Trebek, the host of longrunning syndicated hit game show “Jeopardy“, disclosed in a YouTube video on Jan. 4 he had a “slight medical problem”: a subdural hematoma (blood clots on his brain) due to a fall he had experienced about two months prior. During the holiday weeks, Trebek had surgery done for it and two days later, he returned home from the hospital to recover.

Trebek stated, “The prognosis is excellent, and I expect to be back in the studio taping more ‘Jeopardy!’ programs very, very soon.

The show’s annual College Tournament was originally slated to tape in January but has been postponed until March.
