AMC has greenlit “The Walking Dead” spin-off “Fear the Walking Dead” for a seventh season. The series is currently on hiatus in the middle of season six, having wrapped one episode earlier than originally intended due to coronavirus. Debuting in August 2015, 76 episodes of “Fear the Walking Dead” have been produced to-date. There is no specifics on when it will return.
Parent series “The Walking Dead” will conclude in 2022 with an expanded 11th season, while an untitled spinoff starring Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride in their roles as Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier is scheduled to debut in 2023. AMC is also currently airing “The Walking Dead: World Beyond,” the second stand-alone series in franchise. Films centered on Rick Grimes, starring Andrew Lincoln, are also in the works.
