‘Baywatch’ Joins the Heroes & Icons Network Line-Up in March

Starting Monday, March 15th, the iconic action beachside series, “Baywatch”, will air seven days a week on the Heroes & Icons (H&I) Network. Two back-to-back episodes will air Monday to Friday and Sunday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET, all leading into H&I’s the “All Star Trek” primetime lineup, with an additional airing on Saturdays at 6 p.m. ET.

“Baywatch”, which began on NBC in 1989 and moved into first-run syndication for 10 additional seasons, follows the personal and professional drama of the buff and beautiful lifeguards who patrol the beaches of Los Angeles County. The series boasts a large, rotating ensemble cast led by David Hasselhoff as the team’s wise, veteran lifeguard Mitch Buchannon and Pamela Anderson as senior lifeguard CJ Parker. Throughout its 11 season run, the franchise featured some of the hottest stars of the 1990s including Yasmine Bleeth, Nicole Eggert, Alexandra Paul, Erika Eleniak, Carmen Electra, Brooke Burns, Donna D’Errico, Traci Bingham and David Charvet – all running along the beach in iconic and often parodied slow motion shots.

“Baywatch”, which was rebranded “Baywatch: Hawaii” in its final two seasons, inspired the spinoff TV series “Baywatch Nights”, as well as three direct-to-video films, “Baywatch the Movie: Forbidden Paradise” (1995), “Baywatch: White Thunder at Glacier Bay” (1998), and “Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding” (2003). In 2017, “Baywatch” was rebooted for the big screen starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Zac Efron and Priyanka Chopra.

“CSI: Cyber”, the third (and least successful) spinoff series from “CSI”, will also join the H&I lineup beginning Saturday, March 20th.  The police procedural and CSI spinoff stars Oscar & Primetime Emmy Award-winner Patricia Arquette and Primetime Emmy award-winner Ted Danson as members of an elite team of FBI Special Agents tasked with solving cyber crimes.  CSI: Cyber will air Saturdays at 3 p.m. on H&I.
