BET+ has announced a third season renewal for dramedy “First Wives Club.” The Tracy Oliver (“Girls Trip”) executive-produced dramedy stars Ryan Michelle Bathe, Jill Scott, Michelle Buteau and Michelle Mitchenor. Reminiscent of the original 1996 film of the same name, the series, set in New York City, follows three divorced wives who come together after their marriages fall apart. They find solace in one another and seek a bit of revenge against their exes.

It is not clear whether Scott Rudin, a producer on the “First Wives Club” movie and an executive producer on the series for its first two seasons, will remain involved following allegations of abusive behavior on the set.

Nineteen episodes of “First Wives Club” have been produced in the first two seasons. The number of new episodes ordered have not been confirmed.
