CBS to Air ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ in Winter 2018

CBS announced on Thursday night it will introduce a new edition of the “Big Brother” franchise — the first-ever U.S. edition of “Celebrity Big Brother.”

Its specific start date has yet to be announced (as of Sep. 2017) but Julie Chen indicated it’s slated for winter 2018.

CBS reported the special event (associated with the official #BBCelebrity hashtag on social media) will feature Julie Chen as host, multiple episodes per week during a concentrated run, the series’ signature Head of Household and Power of Veto competitions, Live Evictions, and 24/7 Live Feeds coverage through CBS All Access.

CBS will likely air “Celebrity Big Brother” as a counter to NBC’s Winter Olympics in February 2018, joining ABC’s possible Olympic counter-programs “The Bachelor Winter Games” and “Dancing with the Stars Junior.”
