CBS Cancels Drama ‘Instinct’

CBS has opted against a third season of drama “Instinct.” Debuting on March 18, 2018, the series featured Alan Cumming as university professor, and former CIA paramilitary officer Dr. Dylan Reinhart who is lured back to his old life by New York Police detective Elizabeth Needham (Bojana Novalovic) when she needs his help to stop a serial killer who is using Reinhart’s book as inspiration for murders.

“Instinct” was one of four CBS dramas whose futures were placed in limbo when the network postponed their renewal decisions back in May. The other three — “The Code,” “The Red Line” and “Ransom” — will also not be returning. The now series finale of “Instinct” will air in a two episode block on August 25.
