CBS has issued a second season pick-up to Sunday night drama “God Friended Me,” with an unconfirmed number of new episodes for 2019-20.

aid Kelly Kahl, President, CBS Entertainment. Added Thom Sherman, Senior Executive Vice President of Programming, “Our amazing cast and producers have done a wonderful job of bringing this series to life each week with humorous and inspirational storylines. Viewers have clearly embraced our characters and the positive message the show delivers.”

“God Friended Me” joins the recently announced CBS pick-ups of sitcom “The Neighborhood,” the reboot of “Magnum, P.I.” and “FBI.” Only sitcom “Happy Together” did not make the cut of the five new primetime series launched on CBS last fall.
