Comedy Central Renews ‘South Park’ for Season 26

Upcoming 23rd Season Begins on September 25

Veteran animated comedy “South Park” has been greenlit by Comedy Central for a 26th season. The upcoming 23rd season, which will take “South Park” past the 300th episode mark,, will premiere on September 25. The extended renewal will take the series to at least 327 episodes.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone, co-creators of the series, will continue to write, direct and edit every episode of “South Park.” as they have since the premiere of the series in 1997. Parker, Stone, Anne Garefino and Frank C. Agnone II are the executive producers. Eric Stough, Adrien Beard, Bruce Howell and Vernon Chatman are producers.
