Comedy Central Renews ‘South Park’ Through Season 30

The Season 25 Episodes Will Air in 2022

Comedy Central has picked up animated “South Park” for an additional four seasons, taking it through at least 30 seasons. The beloved cable mainstay, which has now produced over 300 episodes, will return with season 25 sometime in 2022.

Additionally, as part of a new overall deal with ViacomCBS, series creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker will produce 14 “South Park” movies exclusively for streaming service Paramount+. The first two films will debut later this year.

“South Park‘s” most recent batch of original episodes aired in 2019. That was followed by two hourlong specials — “South Park: The Pandemic Special” and “South ParQ Vaccination Special” — which aired in September and March, respectively.
