Even a Diluted ‘The Bachelorette’ on ABC is Still Dominant

Ratings Breakdown:
Two more hours of “The Bachelorette” led ABC to Monday overnight dominance, with a 4.1 rating/7 share in households from 8-10 p.m. But “The Bachelorette” was down by 23 percent from the 5.3/ 9 on the year-ago evening. And it was an encore telecast of “Celebrity Family Feud” (#1: 3.1/ 6 at 10 p.m.), which built from 158 percent from “Still Star-Crossed” one week earlier (1.2/ 2 on June 19), that solidified the victory.

On NBC, “American Ninja Warrior” was flat from one week earlier, with a second-place 3.4/ 6 from 8-10 p.m. But the network’s other Monday night summer reality/competition, “Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge,” dipped to a last-place 2.1/ 4 at 10 p.m. Comparably, that was a loss of 40 percent from the 9:30 p.m. portion of “American Ninja Warrior” (3.5/ 6).

Over at Fox, “So You Think You Can Dance” scored a 2.5/ 5 in the household overnights at 8 p.m., leading into a 1.7/ 3 for week three of “Superhuman,” which put the network in the No. 4 spot for the evening. Both were at consistent overnight levels, however.

Elsewhere, CBS populated this final Monday in June with repeats of “Kevin Can Wait” ((#4: 2.6/ 5), “Man with a Plan” (#3: 2.6/ 5), “Mom” (#3: 2.0/ 5), “Life in Pieces” (#3: 2.5/ 4) and drama “Scorpion” (#2: 2.4/ 4). And The CW aired encore telecasts of “Supergirl” (#5: 0.7/ 1) and two episodes of “Whose Line is it Anyway?” (#5: avg. 0.6/ 1 from 9-10 p.m.).
