Fox to Revive ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ as a Limited Series

Six Episodes of '90210' Ordered for This Summer

Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling, the original stars of “Beverly Hills, 90210,” will return for a six-episode limited series revival on Fox simply called “90210” from CBS Television Studios and Fox Entertainment. The original series ran from 1990 to 2000, and this is slated for this coming summer.

“90210”  comes with a big twist: Priestley, Garth, Ziering, Carteris, Green and Spelling will play heightened versions of themselves in a brand-new serialized drama – with a healthy dose of irreverence – that is inspired by their real lives and relationships.

The logline: Having gone their separate ways since the original series ended 19 years ago, Jason, Jennie, Ian, Gabrielle, Brian and Tori reunite when one of them suggests it’s time to get a “Beverly Hills,  90210” reboot up and running.  But getting it going may make for an even more delicious soap than the reboot itself.  What will happen when first loves, old romances, friends and frenemies come back together, as this iconic cast – whom the whole world watched grow up together – attempts to continue from where they left off?

“‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ left an indelible impact on pop culture and an entire generation,” said Michael Thorn, President, Entertainment, Fox.  “Its powerful legacy is an important part of our network’s DNA – bold stories not told anywhere else and bigger-than-life-characters – and we’re honored to bring back the beloved original cast members for 90210.”

  1. This is huge I can’t wait to see it I hope it goes beyond the 6 episodes if it does well for FOX. I’m glad it landed back on a broadcast network as well.

    • Same here glad that Fox picked it up since that is where it was on for it’s 10 year run on Fox. Wish they could have gotten Luke Perry but since he is on Riverdale couldn’t get him.

      • Yeah, that’s the cool thing about it I’m glad it didn’t end up on cable or streaming. Being on FOX seems perfect and I wish they would’ve gotten Luke Perry too but he’s been on Riverdale. Will be watching for sure this summer.

I would like another stab at Melrose Place as well to makeup for that disaster they tried to create on The CW.

        • Same here would like to see Melrose Place again seems like Heather has had her issues don’t think they could get her to play Amanda again I could be wrong. If Heather is in a good place her health and well being is important.

          • That’s true that might be the one thing though with Heather Locklear to play Amanda. I haven’t heard any scandals from her lately so maybe she is doing better now. It’ll be hard to sell the show without her in it.
