CBS, ABC and ESPN each had a share of Friday night victory. CBS led among total viewers (7.06 million) while ABC won among adults 25-54 (1.6 rating/5 share). ESPN was, by far, the night’s No. 1 network among adults 18-34 (approximately, a 1.1 rating). ABC and ESPN were in a virtual tie for the top among adults 18-49 (1.1 rating).
There were three NBA playoff games on this Friday evening: all Game 3s of each of these series — Cleveland Cavaliers at Detroit Pistons (ESPN), San Antonio Spurs at Memphis Grizzlies (ESPN) and Atlanta Hawks at Boston Celtics (ESPN2). The three telecasts averaged 2.07 million viewers and a 0.84 rating in adults 18-49, which was similar to the year-ago-Friday three-game average on ESPN/ESPN2 (Apr. 24, 2015: 2.04 million viewers, 0.84 adults 18-49 rating).
