‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and ‘Scandal’ Season-Enders Lead ABC to Thursday Victory

ABC led this final Thursday of the traditional TV season in the household overnights with its season-ending combination of “Grey’s Anatomy” (#1 for the evening: 5.6 rating/10 at 8 p.m.) and a two-hour edition of “Scandal” (#1: 4.0/ 7 from 9-11 p.m.). As announced earlier this week at ABC’s upfront presentation, “Scandal” will be concluding next season.

There two three other season-finales last night: NBC’s “The Blacklist” (#2: 3.2/ 6 at 10 p.m.), which moves to Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET (into “Law & Order: SVU”) next season, a two-hour edition of “MasterChef” on Fox (#4: 2.5/ 4 from 8-10 p.m.), and “Supernatural” on The CW (#5: 1.1/ 2 at 9 p.m.). An 8 p.m. edition of “Supernatural” scored an equivalent 1.1/ 2 at 8 p.m., while a 9 p.m. installment of “The Blacklist” averaged a second-place 3.3/ 6.

Next fall, “Supernatural” will lead into relocated “Arrow” in the Thursday 9 p.m. hour.

Elsewhere, encore telecasts of CBS’ “The Big Bang Theory” (#2: 4.8/ 9 at 8 p.m.) and canceled “The Great Indoors” (#2: 3.3/ 6) led into back to back installments of “The Amazing Race” (9 p.m.: #3, 3.0/ 5; 10 p.m., #3: 2.6/ 5), which will return in 2017-18 in midseason.
