With no NBA nor original telecasts of CBS’ scripted comedies on the night, it paved the way for ABC to win Thursday night in all key figures including total viewers (6.14 million), adults 18-49 (1.5 rating/6 share), adults 18-34 (0.9/5) and adults 25-54 (1.9/7). The thirteenth season finale of “Grey’s Anatomy” registered the drama’s most-watched same-day telecast since February 9. The two-hour “Scandal” reached its most same-day viewers in five weeks — since April 13.
Kansas City Royals’ 5-1 victory over the New York Yankees in a special MLB Thursday night showcase drew 909,000 viewers for FS1. It was the most-watched regular-season baseball game in the network’s history. The game featured Kevin Burkhardt doing play-by-play and the debut of Alex Rodriguez as in-game analyst.
