Monday Final Nationals: Double-Digit Increases for ‘WWE Raw’ on USA with Daniel Bryan Retirement

Three broadcast networks earned a share in the top honors of this Monday night. CBS won in total viewers with an average of 9.67 million, Fox won in adults 18-49 (2.1 rating/7 share) and in adults 25-54 (2.8/7), and ABC won in adults 18-34 (1.8/7).

On the downside, although “The Bachelor” reached a season-high to-date ratings performance, lead-out “Castle” returned from its 10-week hiatus to its season-low in total viewership.

The retirement of popular wrestler Daniel Bryan boosted USA’s “WWE Raw” total audience (3.73 million vs. 3.38 million) by 10 percent, its adults 18-49 crowd by 11 percent (1.726 million vs. 1.544 million) and by a significant 22 percent among adults 18-34 (1.30 rating vs. 1.07 rating) — mainly due to the same 22 percent increase in the “WWE Raw” primary target demo of males 18-34 (1.70 rating vs. 1.43 rating) — over its week-ago telecast.

Also on cable, the debut of comedy news program “Full Frontal” with host Samantha Bee (formerly of “The Daily Show”) averaged 2.501 million viewers and 1.301 million adults 18-49 across five Turner networks — TBS, Adult Swim, TNT, HLN and truTV.
